Whisky Sour

One of the simples, and oldest, of mixed drinks, the sour brings our the personality in your Scotch whisky, lending it delicious citrus, subtle sweet flavours.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Amber Glen Blended Scotch Whisky
  • 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or 2 sugar cubes
  • 0.5 lime juice
  • 2 tbsp pineapple juice
  • 1 segment of lime
  • ice – crushed
Measures are given as a guideline.

Instructions

Put the lemon juice and sugar in a chilled shaker, cover and shake well to dissolve the sugar.  Then add the Angostura Bitters, pineapple juice and shake until you form a thick froth, add the whisky & crushed ice, gently shake to mix and then pour in a martini glass or Amber Glen nosing goblet.  Garnish with a segment of lime and enjoy!
