Whisky Collins

Created at the beginning of the 19th century, by John Collins, a head waiter at Limmer’s Hotel in London’s, Conduit Street.  This is a perfect cocktail to sip by the pool, on a terrace, or in fact anywhere that you happen to be.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Amber Glen Blended Scotch Whisky
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or 2 sugar cubes
  • 1 wedge slice of lemon
  • ice cubes
  • soda water or Amber Glen sparkling natural spring water
Measures are given as a guideline.

Instructions

Put the lemon juice and sugar in a chilled shaker, cover and shake well to dissolve the sugar then pour in the whisky, stir & strain and pour into a highball glass or Amber Glen nosing goblet with ice cubes in it, swirl with a straw and top up with soda or Amber Glen Sparkling natural spring water to taste.  Garnish with a slice of lemon and enjoy!
