Rob Roy

Created in 1894 by a bartender at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, the Rob Roy is a mix of Scotch whisky and vermouth that delivers a burst of sweet, earthy and spicy flavours.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Amber Glen Blended Scotch Whisky
  • a glug of ginger ale
  • ice – crushed
  • a sprig of rosemary (you can also use a sprig or golden heather or mint)
Measures are given as a guideline.

Instructions

Chill the cocktail shaker and pour all ingredients in it.  Cover, and shake well to mix.  Stir & strain and pour into a cocktail glass or Amber Glen nosing goblet and swirl with a straw.  Garnish with cherries, enjoy!
